At Eden Homes we’re not obsessed with winning awards, however we believe they provide an important indication of quality standards, which helps our clients know where we stand in the market. Award achievements from recognised industry bodies also provide reassurance that the homes we build are carefully crafted to stand the test of time. To date, whenever we’ve entered a residential project in the Registered Master Builders House of the Year Competition, we’ve never won less than gold. Often we're engaged to design and build larger scale one off  homes. In this case, our brief was to design a compact, single level easy to live in home.

Our designers presented a superb layout providing traditional architectural elements of the Mediterranean- solid white plastered walls, deep door and window reveals, authentic terracotta roof, solid oak doors, wrought iron features and living areas that open up into 3 separate private courtyards, all within 275m2.

We opened this as a Show Home and were so delighted with the reception from visitors, that we decided to enter the home into the Registered Master Builders' House of the Year Competition. Under stiff competition from the best of the best and over 40 competing Show Homes, our Eden Homes Show Home took honours with the Auckland Registered Master Builders' Regional Show Home of the Year as well as the Registered Master Builders' National Show Home of the Year.

Their aesthetic preferences were founded on a life-long love of Tuscany. This Mediterranean-style, solid masonry home was designed and built to satisfy our clients’ brief for a traditional home with classic features reminiscent of the architecture they fell in love with during extensive travels through Southern Europe. The grounds of the home are beautifully landscaped with solid walls, courtyards and plantings that support the desire for privacy. This intelligent design incorporates many authentic European features, while also providing a floor plan shaped around the needs of busy contemporary lives.
